Booneville Blue Devil Band

BBDB Drum Build

It was my privilege to build and donate a Wright Drum Co Birdseye Maple Philharmonic snare drum to the Booneville, MS High School band program. The 14 x 6.5" maple ply shell comes with a Pearl philharmonic throw off for superb tuning abilities. The Booneville Blue Devil Band has a rich tradition of excellence and this custom built snare will help define their sound even more. #webooneville

Cajon

Not only are cajon's fun to play, they are fun to build. This was a commissioned piece I built and the customer gave me free rein on the build. I used solid mahogany and maple to give an incredibly warm sound that cannot be replicated using plies.

First personal drum build

Steam Bent Curly Maple

My first build for personal use was a curly maple steam bent 14 x 7 snare. I chose to go with steam bent because it uses very little glue. This allows the wood to naturally vibrate unlocking a natural warmth to the sound. The black nickel hardware allows the curly grain to pop!
